Winsor & Newton and Conté à Paris
Sister companies Winsor & Newton and Conté à Paris, leading manufacturers of watercolours, pastels, and charcoals worldwide, sought out M studio to establish and promote partnerships between the brands and international artists. M studio identified and secured opportunities for participation in public art initiatives and projects. In support of these opportunities, our marketing and communications teams developed strategies and oversaw brand management in order to increase public awareness of Winsor & Newton and Conté à Paris’ work within the arts community.
M studio’s communications team executed nationwide community outreach and artist interaction and developed a plan of action to engage artist community groups, emerging artists, and globally recognized, established artists. We bolstered these efforts further through creative consultation as well as the art direction and production of branded photo and video assets. Through public relations and social media management services, M studio utilized the assets we developed to raise brand awareness and promote brand partnerships for Winsor & Newton and Conté à Paris.
We also oversaw and managed the global launch of the Winsor & Newton Pigment Marker. M studio’s efforts on behalf of the launch included media relations, the organization and management of their New York City launch event, influencer marketing, and product seeding amongst professional illustrators.
To further support PR and social media outreach, M studio’s graphic designers and copywriters conceptualized and laid out ads for popular art publications including Juxtapoz Magazine, with whom we established an ongoing relationship. In addition to securing ad space in notable media outlets, M studio also helped to educate audiences and influence investment in the brand by developing, designing, and writing a quarterly brand-specific publication for distribution at nationwide art retailers.
Throughout this multifaceted campaign, M studio’s publicists reached out to high profile artists, promoted community events, announced products, secured sponsorships, and coordinated the brands’ involvement in newsworthy and promotional events. We succeeded in securing press in outlets including AIGA’s Eye on Design, Creative Bloq, Harper’s Bazaar, Philadelphia Inquirer, San Diego City Beat, and Supersonic Art, amongst others.
